The Manager, Learning & Development is responsible for creating, coordinating and implementing learning opportunities and career development programs for all levels and businesses in the organization. This role reports to the VP of HR.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Drive development and implementation of corporate wide training and development programs.

  • Manage the content and delivery of training and development materials.

  • Manage the training audit process. Work with business units to implement learning plans and maintain employee training records.

  • Governance, management and administration of AAR’s Learning Management System (Oracle/Taleo Learn).

  • Provide guidance and training for local administrators.

  • Develop, populate and update material for a Training and Development library on Oracle/Taleo Learn.

  • Serve as a point of contact on designated training programs, proposing current and future training needs and investigating opportunities to create new training.

  • Manage and coordinate the business unit mentorship and internship programs.

  • Identify different training delivery methods to meet the needs of the organization (classroom, on-the-job, intranet, seminars, outside vendors, etc.).

  • Research best practices of corporate training organizations and apply them at AAR.

  • Build strong contacts with Training Administrators, IT, HR, Legal and Quality department team members.

  • Develop internal communications and marketing materials to support initiatives.

  • All other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION and or EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor of Arts degree (B.A.) or Bachelor of Science degree (B.S.) from four year college or university.

  • Five or more years of experience in Training and Development.

  • Five or more years of experience working with and/or managing a Learning Management System, Oracle/Taleo Learn preferred.
