Intern - Transport Planning

We currently have an opportunity for an Intern within our Transport Planning team based in Winnersh. The successful person will become part of a respected and ambitious company with excellent career prospects and international opportunities.
As an Intern you will be working on a variety of project types, sizes and complexities. Responsibilities will include:
Data collection and preparation
Data analysis (traffic counts, collisions, trip rates, planning applications etc.)
Generating maps using GIS software to support transport planning projects
Use of computer-assisted transport modelling software such as SATURN and VISUM
Providing support to team members as needed
A passion and enthusiasm for Transport Planning/Transport Modelling
Excellent analytical and technical skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Able to produce well-presented reports
Committed to work and capable of managing own tasks and meeting deadlines
Self-motivated and able to work as part of a team
Good IT skills
Proficient with use of Microsoft Excel
Experience of GIS software
You will join us in the summer period and join our community of interns under our programme called Jacobs Campus. This new programme will allow you to work with a mentor who will work with you in identifying areas of learning so that when you leave you have a portfolio of learning experiences to make reference to. There will also be opportunities to network through your community and other networks across Jacobs in various experiences that will be on offer.
