Role Overview

As a Heat Exchanger Operations Intern, you will get to learn and experience the manufacturing process of a heat exchanger. This is a highly technical role, where you will be involved in root cause analysis and daily lean operations problem-solving.

Responsibilities

  • Designing a material movement process throughout the entire process from receipt to delivery

  • Supporting cell supervisor with lean events and project to increase throughput

  • Documenting turnbacks and supporting root cause investigations

Qualification:

Basic:

  • Must have completed at least a 30 credit hours of college coursework

  • Must have a GPA of 3.0.

  • Must be pursuing a degree related to Engineering

Preferred:

  • At least junior status or completion of a minimum of 60 credit hours of college coursework

  • Prior AMS intern or co-op experience

  • Strong interpersonal and communications skills

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills

  • Ability to work independently

  • Results-oriented

  • Strong analytical skills coupled with the ability to develop a strategy

  • Teamwork & Collaboration

  • Machining experience a plus

Education:

  • Pursuing Engineering or technical degree

  • Currently entering Junior or Senior year in college
