The Stuttgart Health Clinic is located on Patch Barracks in Stuttgart, Germany. Stuttgart ranks as one of the safest cities in Germany and is home to the annual "Volksfest" which is second in size only to the "Oktoberfest". The area is a vigorous and vibrant cultural and economic center. The city, surrounded on three sides by orchards, various castles, and low forest-covered hills, retains an old-world Swabian charm in its modern downtown.
Preferred candidates will have completed an American Psychological Association (APA) accredited doctoral graduate program and an APA accredited pre-doctoral internship.
Management prefers candidates who feel comfortable performing marriage and family therapy as they will be working with both adults and children individually in short and long term outpatient treatment.

Basic Requirement for Clinical Psychologist: Degree: Doctoral Degree (Ph.D. or equivalent) directly related to full professional work in clinical psychology.

Experience required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one years of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job.
Specialized experience is defined as: for a child and adult treatment population, performing bio-psychosocial evaluations, administering and scoring psychological test, developing behavioral health treatment plans, and providing psychological counseling. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
Licensure Requirement: A current, active, valid, and unrestricted clinical license to practice Psychology independently from a U.S. State, the District of Columbia, Commonwealth, territory, or jurisdiction is required.
FOREIGN EDUCATION: If you are using education completed in foreign colleges or universities to meet the qualification requirements, you must show the education credentials have been evaluated by a private organization that specializes in interpretation of foreign education programs and such education has been deemed equivalent to that gained in an accredited U.S. education program; or full credit has been given for the courses at a U.S. accredited college or university.
