Instrument Processing Technician .6 E/N Job ID:50303 Department:OR Sterile Processing City:St Paul, MN Location:RH - Regions Hospital & Clinics Position Type:Part-Time Anticipated Work Schedule:Evening/Night rotation (3:00 pm-11:30 pm & 11:00 pm - 7:30 am) with every other/third/fourth weekend and rotating holidays Shift:Evening/Night Hrs/Pay Period:48 Under the direction of the Sterile Processing department manager, supervisor and the lead technician, the Instrument Processing Technician will be responsible for the proper handling, cleaning, disinfecting, assembly, sterilization, and handling of instrumentation and patient-related equipment to render items safe for handling and use; to monitor, stock and fill supplies. This position includes responsibility with sterilization, decontamination and instrumentation. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: High school diploma/equivalent OR one of the following qualifications: Completion of an associate degree program or higher; OR prior experience as a central service technician in a sterile processing department; OR enrollment in an associate degree program or higher with completion of clinical internship in sterile processing. Experience: Prefer six (6) months (1,040 hours) experience in sterile processing/surgical instrumentation. Successful completion of sterilization, decontamination, and instrumentation competencies within 6 months of hire.
