PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

SAP Globalization Services enables SAP’s global footprint by helping customers succeed in their local markets by providing legal compliance, multi-language capabilities, and delivering country local best practices for SAP solutions. The economy’s drive for globalization and digitalization goes hand in hand with an emphasis on local best practices and country requirements. Availability of our products in local languages is a key success factor for selling SAP software globally. Globalization Services - SAP Language Services (GS SLS) provides language and translation-related services for all SAP Solutions and non-coded assets into many languages. We develop state-of-the-art language technology innovations.

You will get the opportunity to develop your skills in a very international working environment and learn about SAP terminology management in a highly diverse and global organization.

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

  • Learn about terminology management tools and processes

  • Evaluate linguistic quality of SAP source terminology

  • Provide analysis and evaluate required next steps

  • Support specific terminology improvement and quality initiatives

EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Student at a university or university of applied sciences - preferred fields of study: computer linguistics, translation, terminology management, or related studies

  • Background in statistical analysis

  • Excellent English skills and good knowledge of German is a must

  • Flexibility and readiness to learn new skills, ability to work independently and with a high degree of accuracy

  • Strong IT skills, in particular Microsoft Office products, HTML, and editors for XML-based texts

Your set of application documents should contain a cover letter, a resume in table form, school leaving certificates, certificate of enrollment, current university transcript of records, copies of any academic degrees already earned, and if available, references from former employers (including internships). Please describe as well your experience and skills in foreign languages and computer programs / programming languages.
