JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary: The Shuttle Driver supports the operations and tour programs of Taliesin Preservation, Inc. by providing excellent customer service and safe transportation to guests traveling to and from the Visitor Center and Frank Lloyd Wright's National Historic Landmark estate. Safely operates 21-passenger shuttles, supports tour staff, and interacts with visitors. This job is a part-time hourly season up to 30 hours/week April through November. Essential Functions: Operates shuttles transporting visitors to and from the Taliesin Estate safely and efficiently in accordance with Wisconsin State Law. Welcomes customers cheerfully and professionally while facilitating their access to the shuttle. Follows scheduled routes or responds to additional requests from management. Reports accidents, safety situations, vehicle condition, or damage to management. Inspects exterior and interior of vehicle at beginning of each shift for properly operating headlights, turn signals, brake lights, interior lighting, air conditioning or heating, mirror adjustment, properly inflated tires, windshield wipers, etc. Ensures that both inside and outside of the vehicle are properly cleaned. Responsible for keeping van or shuttle fueled when tank is no less than half full; maintains awareness of whether the shuttle requires gas or diesel fuel. May assist with the maintenance and daily duties within the Visitor Center to including cleaning, organizing and providing a tidy appearance for visitors. Provides direct assistance to any special guests or special events as needed. Other duties as assigned. Previous experience driving shuttles, buses, or vans preferred. Wisconsin Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with a Passenger Endorsement and excellent driving record. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to read, write, and understand English and follow very specific and detailed written and ve bal instructions. Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays; report to work on time; and communicate with supervisor in a timely manner about scheduling needs. Ability to work independently and with a team.
