Pelican Products Procurement Intern in South Deerfield, Massachusetts

Pelican is proud to be offering a 9-week Summer Internship Program from June 11th to August 10th. Interns will typically work 16 hours per week and have the opportunity to receive hands-on work experience and participate on special projects. Interns will also attend presentations by Pelican leadership as well as participate in special networking and social activities.

The Procurement Intern positionwill work closely with the Procurement team to audit, research and update its small business provider database using the Federal Government owned and operated System for Award Management (SAM). This is a great opportunity to receive hands-on experience with government contracts, ERP systems and procurement/sourcing in a global manufacturing operation. To qualify for this internship, you should have very good analytical, verbal and written communication skills and be organized, methodical, detail oriented. You should also be able to work independently and be willing conduct outreach with current and potential suppliers. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint is necessary. Students in any major are encouraged to apply.

Preference will be given to children and relatives of Pelican employees, but external candidates will be considered if we are unable to fill positions. Candidates should be actively attending college and entering into their junior or senior year of college in Fall 2018. Internship offers will be sent out the week of May 24th.
