WSP is currently initiating a search for a TRANSPORTATION/RIGHT OF WAY PROJECT COORDINATION INTERNSHIP for our UTAH office for SUMMER 2018.

This opportunity is available for a high school graduate or current college student in good standing working towards an associate or bachelor degree within an accredited program. The candidate will gain experience in PROJECTS under direct supervision of the firm's leading ENGINEERING and RIGHT OF WAY professionals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist UDOT and consultant project managers in the tracking of right of way acquisition process

  • Upload UDOT right of way partial summary submittals into UDOT ePM 760 screen

  • Update and manage workflow of right of way acquisition activities in UDOT ePM 760 screen

  • Perform document control duties including uploading acquisition files to UDOT ProjectWise

  • Assist in developing and maintaining customized right of way activities progress reports

  • Coordinate the ordering of right of way appraisals, appraisal reviews and title reports

  • Provide quality assurance reviews for completed acquisition and condemnation files

Job Requirements

Experience Qualifications:

  • HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE with diploma from nationally accredited secondary education program.

  • Experience with basic computer software, including MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook.

  • Self-motivated with strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.

Preferred Qualifications

  • CURRENT standing as a student actively enrolled in an accredited undergraduate program.

  • Local candidates preferred. Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.

  • Experience with UDOT ePM and ProjectWise.

  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.

  • Familiarity with the UDOT right of way acquisition process, the Federal Uniform Act Section 301 (2)(3)49 CFR 24.103, the Utah Relocation Assistance Act (Utah Code Section 57-12), and Utah Department of Transportation (UDOT) right of way operations manual.
