WSP is currently initiating a search for an Experienced Drainage Engineer for our Salt Lake City, Utah office.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform basic drainage design tasks and drawings using computer-aided design (CADD) related to the development of conceptual transportation projects
Prepare quantity take-offs for cost estimates
Perform site visits to confirm field conditions
Prepare portions of technical reports
Assists on other tasks such as preparation of specifications and cost estimates

MS in Civil Engineering or BS in Civil Engineering plus 1 year of experience as an EIT in the transportation field
Engineering-in-Training (EIT) designation
Good verbal and written communication skills
The position requires a desire and ability to work in a team environment on challenging projects
Proficiency with MicroSoft Excel and Word
Basic understanding of open channel flow, hydrology and flood plain analysis
Familiarity with other software tools such as: Flowmaster, Culvertmaster, HY-8, HEC-RAS, and HEC-HMS modeling
Experience or internship in roadway drainage and engineering design
Basic knowledge of modeling storm drain, sewer, or water systems using Civil 3D, InRoads Storm and Sanitary or StormCADD
Applicant will be expected to learn and become proficient with the use of roadway CADD software, including MicroStation and InRoads
Familiar or basic experience using MicroStation or AutoCAD software
