About the ITNetwork-Telecom Systems Analyst Intern Position:

As part of the Enterprise Network Delivery team within

Oracle’s Global Information Technology organization, you will be responsible

for the delivery of network projects/audits within North America located at our

corporate headquarters. This will all be done under

the mentorship of the Peer Mentor/Veteran Coach. The role will

consist of performing the following activities:

  • MUST

BE US Veteran transitioning from active service

  • Perform

project planning and delivery of network infrastructure devices including

specification definition, design of solution in compliance with secure

corporate standards, implementation, and testing through to production

  • Use

network management tools to analyze, troubleshoot and resolve network, security

and communication events and incidents (including performance) across the

corporate network

  • Work

directly with local support staff and internal customers, senior support staff

and vendors to troubleshoot and resolve events and incidents

  • Use

established work instructions and operating procedures to execute corrective actions

and/or escalation requirements while responding to network, security and

communications events and incidents

  • Maintain

records across corporate tools in accordance with established work instructions

and operating procedures

  • Review,

understand, apply and suggest improvements across all tools, work instructions

and operating procedures used within daily operations

Preferred

Experience

  • Technical understanding and practical

application of network support:

o WAN

& LAN, Routing and switching protocols, SIP, TCP/IP, OSPF

o VPN

– IPSEC and SSL

o VOIP

– SRST, SIP

o Network

/ Security monitoring tools such as: SNMP, MTRG, Monolith & HPOV, etc.

  • Technical understanding and practical

application of security support:

o Virus,

Worm, Trojan and Botnet

o Intrusion

detection systems (IDS) / Intrusion Prevention Systems (IPS)

PreferredEducation, Qualifications and/or Certifications:

Bachelor’s degree in

computer science, engineering, math, physics or related technical field

preferred.

  • 2

years of related work experience

  • CCNA

or Security

  • ITIL Certification

Knowledge,Skills and Abilities:

  • Good written and verbal English communication

skills

  • Be able to effectively communication with people

on both a technical and non-technical level

  • Ability to work with a global, remote workforce

  • Self-motivated professional with the ability to

work in a pressured production environment while not compromising on the quality

of the service provided

  • A focus on customer service / satisfaction

Additional Information:

Hourly wage is $25 per

hour. This is a 40 hour per week

position
