JOB REQUIREMENTS: Responsibilities (35%) Serves as the primary point person for edTPA within the College and with external groups (UW System, DPI, SCALE, and Pearson). Plans and leads an orientation and three writing days for teacher candidates during student teaching each semester. Builds awareness for edTPA and edTPA expectations prior to student teaching. Implements the edTPA retake policy by meeting with students, diagnosing areas for improvement, and facilitating connections to appropriate support faculty. Plans and leads edTPA orientation workshops for new faculty, staff, and supervisors. Works with the associate dean to receive and organize edTPA data and facilitate faculty edTPA data retreats. Interfaces with faculty and staff to assign appropriate handbooks to teacher candidates and to coordinate edTPA support services for students. Identifies and disseminates edTPA resources to support students, faculty, and staff. (35%) Coordinates and disseminates information about student teaching options and special initiatives (e.g. Teacher in Residence, EAST / Teaching Abroad, Internships). Coordinates clinical placements (pre-student teaching). (25%) Organizes and leads new student orientation and admissions meetings. Advises students during the admission to teacher education programs. Assigns faculty advisors and assists with student advising as needed. Manages teachered@uwosh.edu e-mail account. Coordinates student advisory group and two student events each semester. Supports Associate Dean with recruiting initiatives and supporting future educator groups at local high schools.
