Ultimately, we are looking for individuals who are excited about making houses into homes.JOB SUMMARY: The Regional Human Resources Manager (HRM) aligns business objectives with employees and management in their designated market, representing the Company in their geographic regions and therefore is held to the highest standards of ethics, integrity and professionalism. This position supports Retail store locations in New England (Massachusetts, Rhode Island, New Hampshire) and Central Pennsylvania. Serves as a consultant to management on HR related issues, acting as an employee champion and change agent. The HRM formulates partnerships across the HR function to deliver value added service to management and employees that reflect the business objectives of the organization.KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:• Uses the Company metrics and tools to assist the store managers on coaching to the Critical Success Factors and the proper behaviors needed to be a world class selling organization. Managing a detailed up-to-date succession plan to build and develop the bench for the key positions (manager, designer, sales professionals). Oversees the La-Z-Boy University Training Stores to ensure successful execution of and compliance with the training program. Assists MSM to conduct regular leadership training sessions to build a well balanced team. Train Store Managers in various HR related topics such as: recruitment/selection, staffing techniques, coaching/counseling, disciplinary discussions, exit interviews, etc. • Oversees the administration and implementation of, and conducts training of Employee Relations. Conducts investigations and recommends solutions that are fair and consistent; interprets and applies policies, ensuring procedures and processes are effective and meet business needs; and introducing/creating programs and various HR and Retail Division projects.• Assists in hiring, training and retaining the highest quality team members who exhibit knowledge, skills and abilities to drive sales in their stores; and demonstrate strong initiative and business acumen.• Demonstrates change leadership and partners with MSMs to drive culture change.• Conducts Store Standards visits to ensure stores are following the Company programs. Acts as a resource for programs related to healthcare and other employee benefits. SCOPE & IMPACT: Provide leadership and functional support for all retail employees and the management team. A functional part of the core team who works to increase our bottom line profitability by directly impacting our employees through focus on employee develop and retail management processes.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or closely related field with 4-6 years of relevant professional experience or equivalent.• 1-3 years supervisory/leadership experience.• Must have a valid Driver’s License• Up to 50% Travel – 20% overnightPREFERRED REQUIREMENTS: • Master’s Degree with 4-6 years of relevant experience or equivalent.• SHRM-CP or PHR CertificationSUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: Responsible for directing leaders with functional area responsibilities and to undertake the following employment actions: hiring, termination, corrective action and performance reviews.PHYSICAL DEMANDS/WORK ENVIRONMENT: Office environment/no specific or unusual physical or environmental demands. Nearly continuously use repetitive hand motion, hear and listen. Often required to sit, talk, stand, and walk. Seldom required to bend and stoop.
