Innovation Center - Marketing Intern Taylor Communications is seeking an entry-level Marketing Intern to join the Taylor Corporation Innovation Center team! We are looking for an innovative, resourceful, energetic, and talented individual who is ready to take the next step towards a career. This person should be well-rounded and up for the challenge of taking on a wide variety of projects and initiatives. The chosen candidate will work in close collaboration with the Innovation Center Manager, clients, and a team of other interns. As a Marketing intern, you will help develop engaging visual and written content used in the production of marketing and sales materials, conduct independent research on customer motivations and market trends, manage social media pages, and help write a monthly internal newsletter. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: This internship position will involve a range of marketing facets and will require attention to detail, the ability to manage multiple tasks on tight deadlines, and strong communication skills. Work with marketing, sales, and creative departments to support the creation and evolution of digital and print marketing materials for an emerging technology company Collaborate with executives and company leadership to establish brand identity, communication planning, and digital marketing opportunities for corporate and company initiatives Ensure design consistency such as the appropriate usage of color, composition, perspective, and layout to maintain consistency across multiple brands and channels (e.g. social media posts, email, blog posts, newsletter, web, presentations, videos, and print materials) Investigate and understand consumer motivations using surveys, market research, and competitor analysis Proof and edit the work of others, as well as your own, to ensure consistency in style and tone Work both individually and in groups to produce defined project deliverables on tight deadlines Effectively communicate conceptual ideas, research findings, and marketing rationale to clients, leadership, and peers, in a verbal, visual, and written formats REQUIREMENTS: Pursuing or recently attained a degree in marketing, advertising, communication studies, public relations, multimedia production, business administration, project management, or other related majors Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel, Publisher) and Google Docs Experience with Adobe products (e.g. Photoshop, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, Premiere, After Effects, InDesign) is helpful, but not required Able to work in a fast-paced environment and collaborate effectively as a team member Must be collaborative and open to feedback from peers and clients Able to think critically and creatively while not being afraid to go outside their comfort zone Exhibit a positive attitude, skill, and innovative spirit for problem solving and taking on challenges Demonstrate the ability to strategically manage and prioritize multiple tasks on tight timelines Ability to work out of our North Mankato, MN office starting in December 2018 or January 2019 ABOUT TAYLOR: Taylor Corporation is a Minnesota-based, global leader of business and personal communication products, technologies and services that connect people and grow businesses.
