We’re looking for our 2018 Summer Intern candidates! This year will be our 7th year hosting a robust class of interns. As a Summer Intern at Fluent, you will gain a hands-on experience in digital marketing working with a diverse and passionate team. You will work within a department as a tightly knit team, with a manager whose role is to guide you throughout the summer and ensure that your time is spent making an impact for Fluent.
Our paid internship program starts on Monday, June 4th and runs 10 weeks through Thursday, August 9th. Interns will work alongside Fluent employees in the office Monday – Thursday from 9 am to 6 pm with an hour lunch every day.
We are looking for an intern to work directly as the “right hand” to the Operations team, offering account and campaign support. In this role, you will learn how to Fluent handles data and what we can offer our clients, coordinate campaign launches, monitor campaign activity, and help troubleshoot any arising issues. You will assist in production and optimization of campaigns, and assist Ad Operations and Account Managers with all projects. The ideal candidate will work with the teams to ensure delivery, goals and objectives put forth by the client are met.
QA New and Existing Products – guaranteeing successful launches and upkeep of our suite of products and sites
Assist in the generation of site content on our media brands
Familiarization with reporting and upkeep of our owned network – identifying trends and surfacing problems to the Product & Operational teams at large
Assist Associate Product Manager and Product Managers with their projects as needs arise
Complete Market Research tasks to identify new trends in the digital marketing ecosystem
Product / Testing QA -
Ensuring our testing strategies are functioning as intended, across multiple devices/browsers.
Reviewing our product experiences to pinpoint areas of potential concern, such as improper formatting or images not rendering properly.
A/B test reporting -
Involvement in A/B test analytics to help the Media Operations team observe their wins and losses for active tests. This will provide a clearer understanding of our process and the impacts on user behavior.
We think you will be a successful candidate if you:
Are currently enrolled as an undergraduate student in good standing at an academic institution with plans to return to school for the upcoming school year
Proficient in Microsoft 365 and Office applications (i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with poise and good humor
Bring a strong work ethic, along with stellar communication skills (verbal, written and listening), a positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, ambition, collaboration, curiosity and rigor in all that you do!
Experience in Microsoft Office – Word, Powerpoint, and Excel a must
Ability to work under pressure and tight deadlines
Confident, strong communication, presentation, and organization skills
0-1 years of past internship experience at a media, tech or digital marketing company or interest in such.
Comfortable working with data and numbers as well as engaging with clients; ability to channel both skill-sets as required
Communicates effectively through written and verbal methods
Highly proactive, efficient, and goal-oriented
Enjoys cultivating positive relationships and possess a natural ability to connect with people
Naturally curious and demonstrates an eagerness to learn
