Strategy and Publishing Intern

The eight-week Strategy and Publishing Internship is designed to provide a college student with exposure to the strategy and STM journal publishing division of a major corporation. The Intern will be based for four weeks in the Office of the Chairman, where he will be responsible for doing research related to specific strategy projects, and for the remaining four weeks in the STM Journals division, where he will assist the Executive Publisher in carrying out various editorial and research and development tasks.

Perform market sizing and competitive analysis to inform Chairman's office. Create a report and PowerPoint presentation that summarizes findings succinctly.
Assist Executive Publisher with various editorial and research and development tasks.
Ad hoc assignments in the Office of the Chairman as assigned and/or required.
This internship is open to college students of diverse backgrounds who will have completed their sophomore or junior year by the beginning of the internship. Preference will be given to those who will have completed their junior year.
Candidates should possess excellent written, verbal and presentation communication skills; a strong interest in research and the academic publishing industry; familiarity with analytics; and a solid working knowledge of Microsoft products including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
