The Audiology Division in the Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders at Central Michigan University is seeking a full-time, academic year tenure-track Assistant or Associate Professor, beginning August 2019 or an alternative negotiated start date. Consideration for Associate Professor rank will require evidence demonstrating teaching effectiveness, scholarly and creative activity based on published work, and service which is appropriate and consistent within the university and profession. The Department of Communication Sciences & Disorders offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and is located in The Herbert H. and Grace A. Dow College of Health Professions. Responsibilities: Maintain a standard of excellence in teaching, research and scholarship, and service as outlined by the CMU Faculty Agreement and the Department of Communication Sciences and Disorders Bylaws. Conduct research and scholarly endeavors leading to publications and external grants; direct student research. Service. Involvement in campus and community service; advise graduate students.
Earned doctorate (Ph.D., Sc. D., Ed.D. or equivalent) although ABD considered if it is clear the degree will be completed by the start of appointment. Must have or be eligible for CCC-A and Michigan audiology license. Expertise in one or more of the following areas: amplification, diagnostics, pediatric audiology, hearing conservation, cochlear implants or other related areas.
