Learning & Comm Assoc

Your tasks and responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role, Learning and Communications Associate, are to:

  • Create/maintain/distribute all requests for organizational communications, i.e. format/distribute personnel and organizational announcements; create/modify and align with senior stakeholders such as VPs, Directors and Managers on the monthly organizational newsletter etc;

  • Create/maintain organization curriculum via Learning Management System (LMS);

  • Create/maintain Global Training Calendar of scheduled offerings Map out training plans, design and develop training programs/projects;

  • Choose appropriate training methods per case (simulations, mentoring, on the job training, professional development classes etc.);

  • Market available training opportunities to employees and provide necessary information;

  • Conduct organization wide training needs assessment and identify skills or knowledge gaps that need to be addressed;

  • Use accepted education principles and track new training methods and techniques;

  • Design and prepare educational aids and materials;

  • Create performance measurement/training effectiveness checks;

  • Partner with stakeholders and liaise with senior training experts regarding instructional design;

  • Gather, enter, and/or update data to maintain departmental training records, and staff profiles;

  • Manage and arrange all aspects of training facilities, equipment, scheduling, materials, and assist with registration and moderation of virtual training events (e.g. web-ex support, LDSM trainings etc.).

Who you are

Your success will be driven by your demonstration of our LIFE values. More specifically related to this position, Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with at least 3 years' experience in the learning and development field and/or equivalent working experience in coordinating multiple training events;

  • Working knowledge in Learning Management System (LMS);

  • Proven ability to create and maintain communication strategies;

  • Ability to analyze and interpret data and prepare statistical reports;

  • Extensive knowledge of instructional design theory and implementation;

  • Proven ability to complete full training cycle (assess needs, plan, develop, coordinate, monitor and evaluate);

  • Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods and techniques;

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word);

  • Excellent English communications skills (at native level);

  • Advanced organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple assignments;

  • Customer service mindset;

  • Attention to detail/problem solving.
