As an Investment Accounting Analyst, the qualified candidate will provide fund administration services, accounting expertise and back-office processing for the accounting and investment operations of hedge funds, private equity funds, family offices and private banks.Job Responsibilities:* Perform portfolio accounting for diverse asset classes* Complete partnership accounting for a variety of legal structures* Interpret client requests to make decisions regarding suitable resolutions* Prepare financial statements with investment performance returns* Participate in the preparation of audit and tax data requests* Provide guidance to clients regarding how to optimize investment strategies* Troubleshoot and problem-solve complex accounting issues* Serve as a relationship manager and make adjustments at the request of clients Position Requirements* Bachelor s degree in Accounting or Finance required* For recent graduates: minimum GPA of 3.0 on 4.0 scale required* Minimum 1 year of experience with Microsoft Office required* Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service required* CPA or working towards CPA certification preferred* Practical knowledge of GAAP and reporting standards* Prior internship in related job function strongly preferred* Ability to communicate professionally and effectively* Ability to work both collaboratively and independently* Emphasis on organizational skills and the ability to multi-task* Rigorous attention to detail* Highly self-motivatedAbout SEI AFOSEI AFO is a full-service provider of fund administration and outsourced accounting solutions to emerging fund managers and private wealth management firms.
