Requisition Number 18-0625 Title Associate - Summer 2018 City GreenwoodVillage State CO DescriptionWe are seeking Accounting Associates for ourBroomfield or Greenwood Villageoffice to start in the Summer of 2018. As an Associate, you will provideaudit services to clients, with a primary focus on developing expertisewithin a specific industry. You will utilize your accounting educationalbackground and internship experience to assist in all stages of an engagementor project; most commonly review engagements, procedures engagements,providing support and leverage to seniors and others.Work Activities & AccountabilitiesThe below functions reflect the general details of the essential workactivities and accountabilities of this position and are not all inclusive.Other activities may be assigned.Industry Service: Gains experience, exposure, and knowledge in one ormore industries. Expands industry knowledge through greater exposure topeers, internal experts, clients, regular self-study, and formaltraining opportunities. Begins to target a specifically defined industry todevelop deeper knowledge and expertise within. Provides a variety of servicesto clients within the industry.Assurance: performs the detail work of audits, reviews, somecompilations, and other assurance services for clients. S/he collects andanalyzes data to detect deficient controls, duplicated effort, fraud, ornon-compliance with laws, regulations, and management policies. S/hehelps build detailed reports on audit findings. Supports multiple clientengagements on time and within budget, identifying issues, recommendingsolutions and communicating progress and audit results to supervisors.Completes assigned portions of engagements with consistency and accuracy andwithin tight time frames. S/he starts to direct small audits in time.Other Services: May provide other services to clients within the industry.Details on those services and requirements can be found in the appropriatedescription.Technical Competencies: General knowledge of accounting principles and/orregulations impacting each engagement or project, financial markets,analysis and reporting of financial data. Understand internal softwaresystems including Pfx Fixed Assets, GoFileRoom, Pfx Engagement, PfxTax, etc. Proficiency with Microsoft (MS) Windows and MS Officeproducts is necessary. RequirementsMINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Experience:Passion for doing impactful work, accountability for actions, initiativeto make visions a reality, integrity that places honesty and trust above allelse, professionalism, and conscientiousness.General knowledge of accounting principles and/or regulations impacting eachengagement or project, financial markets, analysis and reporting offinancial data.Experience with Pfx Fixed Assets, GoFileRoom, Pfx Engagement, preferred.Proficient with Microsoft (MS) Windows and Office products.Previous accounting internship preferred.Reliable transportation and ability to travel to client sites.Education:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.Working to obtain CPA designation.
