Baylor Scott & White Health Registered Nurse Oncology Full-time Night in Grapevine, Texas

We are looking for RNs to work in one of our Oncology units.

The Registered Nurse (RN) exhibits and executes Baylor Scott & White Health's (BSWH) Values & Behaviors in delivering and coordinating patient care. Utilizing the BSWH nursing professional practice model, the RN is a licensed professional who is responsible for using clinical reasoning, developing, implementing and evaluating the nursing plan of care, managing both emotional and physical patients, assessing patient and family level of understanding to provide effective communication and education, working collaboratively with medical staff and providing quality care in a compassionate and professional manner.

Our Oncology unit provides specialized care to adults with newly diagnosed, relapsed or refractory leukemias, lymphomas, Hodgkin's disease, multiple myeloma and solid tumors. Our Oncology RNs play a vital role in the care of our patients by providing individualized education, administering chemotherapy and other treatments as directed by the oncologist and monitoring or treating any side-effects a patient might have after receiving treatment.

Ideal Oncology RN candidates will have Oncology, Med-Surg and/or Telemetry experience, be team-oriented, have a strong degree of empathy and be customer service focused.

  • Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) required

  • RN license required

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required

    Note: If you have less than 6 months of experience, we recommend that you apply to our nursing internship program. Internships are available for new graduates and experienced nurses in a variety of specialties. New classes begin in January, June, and September.
