IDG, a global media, data, and services company, is seeking an energetic, team-oriented Media Intern to join the team in Framingham, MA for the Fall semester of 2018.
The Media Intern will be responsible for supporting our Growth Sales team who has a strong focus on uncovering and developing new accounts. This intern will gain hands-on media/sales experience in a fast-paced working environment.
Digging into leads from all sources (such as Media websites and Trade Show lists) to uncover new business opportunities
Passing new business opportunities along to appropriate sales reps so they can try to win the business for IDG
Administration duties for the sales reps and/or sales support team as needed; data entry, generating reports, creating screenshots, creating/editing PowerPoint presentations, etc.
Candidates must be actively pursuing an undergraduate degree and enrolled in classes for the Fall of 2018 semester
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of products
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and top-notch time management skills
Excellent communication and customer service abilities
A desire to learn the ins and outs of the media industry – an interest in pursuing a sales or business development role down the line is a bonus!
This is a paid internship. The ideal candidate will be available to work 15+ hours/week over 3 days.
