Contribute to Sanford operations and processes while obtaining first hand experiences that align with the mission, vision, and values of the organization. Assist in the completion of projects and administrative duties while developing skills related to the assigned function and/or location. We are looking for someone who is excited about Microsoft excel spreadsheets and loves working through a bunch of numbers to join our Strategic Reimbursement team! The interns primary responsibilities will be assisting us with our annual pricing projects for all owned hospitals and clinics. Other internship responsibilities include: assistance in the annual updating of physician and hospital fee schedule updates, assistance in the development of contractual discounts for both hospital and clinic operations, mentor/preceptor specific activities will be a combination of 1-on-1 mentor sessions, and department specific training. Normal day to day activities will be using Microsoft access and One Report/ EDA reports to combine, manipulate and analyze data via building pivot tables, using Look-up and other formulas. Potential unexpected activities that may be performed throughout the internship could include preparing various financial projections/analysis of operational activities. Must be a junior or senior pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting or business related major or an immediate graduate having received one of the previously listed majors. Must have strong communication skills and be proficient in Microsoft Office suite. The intern must commit to the hours scheduled during the 12-week internship, with flexibility to the interns schedule.


Current enrollment or recent graduate of an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program from an accredited college or university.

Knowledge of healthcare industry preferred. Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
