Title: Senior PCB Designer - 39592
As a Senior PCB Designer with John Deere Electronics Solutions in Fargo, North Dakota, you will support engineering and manufacturing in the areas of new product development and current product maintenance. This position will be primarily responsible for designing and ensuring the excellence of our printed circuit boards. In addition you will:
Review and verify documentation for PCB (Printed Circuit Board) development generated by other engineering groups for PCB design
Generate and maintain PCB specifications
Work with engineering personnel to establish design parameters and ensure electronic designs comply with design validation and product specifications
Work with Manufacturing Engineering and outside vendors to identify and rectify fabrication, component or assembly problems
Work with Manufacturing Engineering, Sales and Marketing and Quality Assurance to optimize designs for cost, quality and manufacturability
Provide training to engineers and designers including schematic capture and Mentor Graphics Expedition software
Manage the Computer Aided Design (CAD) library
Travel minimally to install CAD software or provide training

What Skills You Need
5 or more years’ experience in PCB design obtained from education, projects, internships and/or practical work experience
Comprehension of the PCB design process as it relates to testing, manufacturing, quality control, and marketing requirements
Proficiency to make decisions independently on PCB design problems and methods
Ability to peer check work and mentor other PCB Designers
Experience with Mentor Expedition software

Education (or equivalent work experience)
