Job Description

Provide support for brand management related initiatives to ensure the Blue Cross NC Brand is appropriately activated and represented across the enterprise. This will be done by: This position will be responsible for owning the BCBSA brand regulations and ensuring that our company and all related partners and entities are compliant. This includes but is not limited to ensuring brand compliance for all advertising,tracking, managing and closing all BCBSA approvals and managing relevant brand guidelines across the enterprise. Constructing, implementing and conducting all training on brand regulations Synthesizing and communicating all brand trends and data to leadership and identifying opportunities.Identifying brand related concerns across the enterprise and developing communication plan to address matters

Business PlanningFacilitate planning of strategic goals and development of departmental/divisional operational plans.

Coordinate, plan and facilitate various departmental/divisional events (i.e. Departmental Summits, All Hands Meetings, Leadership Planning Sessions, staff meetings) to make them more effective, purposeful and outcomes based.

Assist with the overall workforce plan and staffing models, taking into account multiple and interrelated initiatives to either increase or decrease headcount, each with their own set of success criteria/outcomes, budget, and duration. Responsible for tracking employee hires by budget & competency, per the Strategic Plan and other key inputs.

  • Aid in the adoption of standard operating procedures and processes for the department and assist with the communication and education of new SOPs outside of the department.

  • Assist with change management work to support business and process improvements and overall departmental/divisional effectiveness.

Project Coordination

  • Handle special projects for the department/division/segment as assigned. Possible duties could include:

  • Assist in the evaluation of potential opportunities to reduce costs/improve efficiencies

  • Aid in the review and evaluation of best or next practice opportunities for potential adoption

  • Review industry literature and ensure leadership is briefed on current and emerging issues of importance to the organization.

  • May serve as point of contact on engagements with external entities (i.e. consultants) for data gathering and research purposes.

  • Track initiatives/projects for the department/division/segment and may create presentations of initiative/project progress for varied audiences, which may include ILT and Senior Leadership.

Data Analysis/Reporting

  • Consolidate and standardize data analysis and reporting for relevant business operations.

  • Perform departmental budget analysis, monitor budget forecasts and review progress against administrative cost reduction goals

  • Track goal progress, including data collection and analysis of key performance metrics (KPIs)

Business Partnerships

  • Accompany leaders to internal and/or external partnership meetings, and capture discussions for follow-up

  • Prepare input for Annual Report, CEO/Board reports, and other marketing/communication opportunities with a focus on partnering to deliver communications that are relevant and oriented to specific business partnerships both internal and external.

  • Provide support for leadership’s public speaking engagements and/or industry Board and Committee meetings.

  • Aid in management of vendor relationships as required by business operations’ needs.

Specific Requirements

  • Provide support for brand management related inquiries.

  • Review all advertisements and communication for brand compliance.

  • Track, manage and close all BCBSA approvals for brand (derivatives, co-branding).

  • Work with corporate project team meetings that have identified an impact to brand and other related items.

  • Coordinate and manage relevant brand guidelines including but not limited to consumer engagement guidelines, producer marketing guidelines.

  • Construct, implement and conduct all training on brand regulations.

  • Synthesizes and cCommunicate all brand data trends to leadership and identify opportunities.

  • Conduct internal and external brand audits (yearly derivative, every 3 year full audit.

  • manageManage parent brand and all controlled and affiliate companies in regard to brand approvals, processes, compliance, and consultation.

  • Attend and consult on ad hoc projects for brand such as SHP, new vendor relationships as it relates to promoting blue products, etc.

  • Creating and managing data center for all brand related materials (including brand book, derivatives, co-branding partners, disclosure list etc.

  • Work with stakeholders across the enterprise to mitigate brand concerns

  • Enforce and guide brand related matters across the enterprise.

Hiring Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 1 year relevant work/internship experience in a corporate, health care or professional setting to include experience in project coordination, planning, financial or budget analysis, marketing and/or communications.

  • OR Master’s degree with relevant coursework/internship, strong academic record and leadership experience in course related work/activities.
