N. Street Village is a community of empowerment and recovery for women experiencing homelessness and low-income women in Washington, DC. With comprehensive services addressing both emergency and long term needs, N Street Village helps women achieve stability and make meaningful gains in their housing, income, employment, mental health, physical health, and addiction recovery. N Street Village also provides affordable rental housing for low and moderate income individuals and families.
Bethany Women's Center is open 365 days a year and is a place of welcome, meeting basic needs of women experiencing homelessness, and establishing relationships with women that become the foundation for engagement into deeper services. The Bethany Women's Center Manager provides leadership for teh Bethany Women's Center. The Manager supervises a diverse team and supports them to develop the client engagement skills that meet the women where they are. The Manager is responsible for overseeing client assessments, group activities and scheduling. Participation in the DC Coordinated Assessment and Housing Placement System helps the team direct client referrals and needs.
Supervise a team of day support staff through regular structured supervisory meetings, as well as ongoing modeling and coaching
Work in partnership with the Associate Director of Interim Programs to ensure optimal functioning of daytime programming
Facilitate an established daily programming schedule that includes activities, meals, volunteer activities
Support the coordination of internships and volunteers
Communicate regularly with staff members, team members, and agency leadership to ensure consistency and quality services
Work with partner agencies to build collaborative relationships that support programming
Serves as the liaison with Department of Behavioral Health (DBH) when working to provide crisis managment for clients
Has a working knowledge of partner agencies that provide in-kind and client services, resources, and referrals
Maintain client records and documentation
Participate in organization-wide meetings and committees, departmental meetings, and trainings
Work with the Data Coordinator to develop best practices to capture appropriate data
Other duties as assigned
Knowledge of DC resources
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel, and the ability to learn a databasae
Friendly and professional demeanor
Mature abiliteis in developing interpersonal relations, problem-solving, conflict resolution
