_POSITION SUMMARY:_

Provide technical and administrative services to the network and telecommunications (N&T) department in order to provide support for the infrastructure within the Bank. Work will include the accessing, troubleshooting, and installation of network and telecom equipment using manual and automated tools. Tasks may also include participating in updating processes and procedures related to the support of network and telecom devices.


_KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:_ * Assist the network and telecom team with moderately complex incidents and service request projects related to infrastructure utilized by on-site and mobile workforces * Monitor ticketing system software to categorize workload and track incidents reported by end-users * Review key system components to ensure the health and readiness of the system on a daily basis and report their status to team members * Some additional duties may be assigned to the N&T intern to support the successful daily operation of the Network and Telecom department, which might include the following: o Support/assist department in carrying out various IT group programs, projects, processes and procedures o Participates in staff meetings and attends other meetings and trainings, as assigned _EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:_ * Candidates with technical knowledge of both wired and wireless networks and their support through the use of networking tools is ideal * Understanding of telecommunications systems and the tools that support them is key * Ability to effectively coordinate work with assigned project lead(s) * Excellent written, oral & interpersonal communication skills * Ability to take direction easily, interpret directives and execute in an efficient manner * Ability to prioritize tasks & projects to meet business needs in a logical sequence * Candidates pursuing a degree in computer science or management information systems are preferred * Experience with network and telecom hardware, software, and remote local support tools by using industry standard troubleshooting techniques is preferred * Supporting telecommunication device software is preferred along with an understanding of device deployment practices * Service level compliance and performance measurements experience is desirable for this candidate * Must be entering Junior or Senior year by fall of 2018 * Equivalent education and/or experience may be substituted for any of the above requirements _WORK HOURS AND CONDITIONS:_ * Monday – Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; flexibility/additional hours may be required * Ability to work in closed spaces, to stoop and bend upper body, and to crawl under work spaces * Candidate must be able to lift 50 pounds _NOTES:_

This is a 10 - 12 week internship from June to August 2019 located in the Dallas office. Interns will be expected to work 40 hours per week for the entire internship period. Interns will be responsible for any relocation and housing expenses.

Employment is contingent upon the selected candidate passing a background check and drug screen. Candidates will be required to submit at least three references and submit fingerprints prior to employment.
