Intern- IPS Purchasing

Position Description

The internship role provides students with the opportunity to apply academic knowledge and skills in a professional environment, and to support/promote the graduate's career goals through contact with professionals in their field of study. The internship experience enables students to participate in professional activities for Volvo Group Trucks Purchasing by working on important and innovative projects that will build experience in project management, finance and negotiation. Soft skills and high energy and a positive mindset are also key assets for working in this position across a diverse multicultural team.


  • Manage activities related supplier relations (meetings, documents, feed-back, etc.)

  • Assist the purchasing manager & buyers in their day-to-day activities

  • Assist with analysis of supply chain e.g. suppliers and spend etc

  • Perform purchasing activities related to indirect products and services eg. Request For Information (RFI), Request For Quotation (RFQ)

  • Participate in supplier and internal team meetings


  • Applicants must be pursuing a Business Administration, Econoy degree at an accredited school and have completed 2 semester prior to the start of the internship
