Want to be part of an experienced Agile team working at the hub of GEICO’S systems?
The MSI Client Team is seeking a highly motivated Senior SQL Server/SSIS Programmer to work alongside a team of talented developers supporting the MSI Client system which is the critical hub of GEICO's systems. The ideal candidate will drive the resolution of tasks and issues in support of key Client projects. The candidate will also have experience troubleshooting and triaging both application and system issues. They may be responsible for planning, designing, managing and implementing projects in support of MSI Client which would include coordinating amongst various departments. In this role, you will have the opportunity to learn about many of GEICO’s systems as Client is a key component to all of our critical systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree and 7+ years of experience in design and development of complex stored procedures and SSIS packages
Proficient in writing queries and stored procedures using TSQL for MS SQL Server 2012+ Expert in troubleshooting SQL Server Performance issues and optimizing queries; to include troubleshooting locking issues, deadlocks, index optimization and tuning overall query performance in a high volume, zero down time environment
Expert in database design fundamentals
Expert in developing SQL Server Integration Services packages and solutions utilizing complex transforms and a wide variety of data sources including SQL Server, delimited and fixed width text files, XML, REST Services, Oracle, and DB2.
Experience with CI/CD/DevOps processes and tools is a plus.
Agile/Scrum project experience.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Good verbal and written communication style/skill are required.
Should be Self-motivated with the ability to operate with limited supervision
Should have the ability to be effective in the face of evolving requirements
Familiarity with Entity Framework and .Net development
SSRS experience preferred
