Responsibilities and Qualifications
The Investment Analyst will play an important role in investment due diligence and management of Mercy’s $2.7B investment portfolio, which includes the health system’s operating reserves, pension, and foundation assets. The Investment Analyst will conduct analysis and prepare reports to support decision-making around investment strategy, portfolio construction and the selection of both traditional and alternative asset managers. The Investment Analyst will also have secondary responsibility for providing back-up support to operations and risk.
The Investment Analyst will be a member of the Investment Due Diligence team reporting up through the Deputy Chief Investment Officer, and directly report to the Senior Investment Consultant. The analyst will also on occasion provide support to other team members of the Investment Department.

Education: Bachelor’s Degree
Experience: 1 to 3 years experience, undergraduates considered with professional internship experience, preferably with an investment consulting firm, asset manager or investment department of a large institution.

A basic understanding of investment concepts and strategies
Active interest in investments and capital markets
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and Powerpoint
Excellent quantitative and analytical skills
The ability to work independently and as a strong contributor to a team
Strong communication skills
Excellent time management, attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
Preferred Licensure: Progress toward CFA charter is preferred.
Preferred Skills and Knowledge: Experience in using Bloomberg and/or Factset.
