CenturyLink’s internship program is a 10 week, fast-paced and exciting opportunity to gain professional experience within your field of study. Interns within the Finance department will be challenged to apply their knowledge gained in the classroom to real world problems. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands on experience working on real world Innovation Initiatives for a Fortune 500 company. This position will allow students to utilize their talents and abilities to innovate within active projects at CenturyLink. Within this finance role, the intern will work on financial reporting and modeling, supporting a specific client organization. Initial projects will be based on data visualization around product profitability, culminating to a guided presentation to the leadership team at the end of the program.
The intern can expect day to day responsibilities to include data analysis and validation, attending meetings in both product and product finance and development of deliverables. The intern will work closely with their team at all times and attend daily meetings to ensure a quality experience for all sides.
•Business major with an interest in finance and accounting, entry level excel and powerpoint skills, strong curiosity and work ethic.
•Willingness to learn, ability to think through problems, open to feedback, natural curiosity, ability to apply previous lessons to future problem statements.
