SAP started in 1972 as a team of five colleagues with a desire to do something new. Together, they changed enterprise software and reinvented how business was done. Today, as a market leader in enterprise application software, we remain true to our roots. That’s why we engineer solutions to fuel innovation, foster equality and spread opportunity for our employees and customers across borders and cultures.
SAP values the entrepreneurial spirit, fostering creativity and building lasting relationships with our employees. We know that a diverse and inclusive workforce keeps us competitive and provides opportunities for all. We believe that together we can transform industries, grow economics, lift up societies and sustain our environment. Because it’s the best-run businesses that make the world run better and improve people’s lives.
PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVE
SAP Cloud Platform Integration is SAP’s strategic secure, cloud integration platform for process and data integration across domains (Financial Services Network, Success factors, Cloud for Customers, Ariba, S/4HANA, Travel on Demand etc.) with over 4000 customers and rapidly growing.
It is an open, industry standard Integration-as-a-Service offering with a unique ability for on-premise installations to securely connect to and leverage cloud-based capabilities. It is built on top of the OSGi runtime, which is a mature and highly modular Java runtime, has a low footprint and TCO and is supported by a world-class Web user experience for designing, configuring & monitoring integration flows. Cloud Integration supports flexible deployment models for classical on-premise, on-demand (Integration-as-a-Service”) and hybrid options.
CPI today is transitioning to the multi cloud offering of SAP Cloud Platform. We are taking the next steps towards building a cloud-native, containerized microservices-based architecture on top of CloudFoundry/Kubernetes.
The CPI team is regularly involved in exploration areas (recent examples being microcontroller, device and multimedia integration for cloud business applications like drone delivery, connected car and sentiment analysis; using machine learning to react to and predict dynamically changing cloud application/integration loads), from where relevant capabilities often make their way into the product. Cloud Integration, in particular, provides a rich environment for innovation and is a preferred destination for internships and fellowships.
We are searching for excellent analytical minds who are keen to solve innovative and challenging problems in an environment that fosters scalable and performant engineering and personal growth. You will have the opportunity to dabble with technologies at cloud and enterprise scale.
