Role Summary:

You will be working for Steam Power; a GE Power Business in its headquarters in Baden, Switzerland. Steam Power is the global leader for clean and smart power generation from coal, oil and nuclear and provides advanced steam power technologies with leading efficiency and lower emissions.

The Business unit employs more than seven thousand employees in roughly 100 countries and generates 3+ B$ in revenue.

Essential Responsibilities:

During your internship, you will be part of the Product Management Department directly reporting to the Head of Product Management.

You will be addressing current industrial challenges,

including Digital solutions (Industrial Internet of Things; Industrial Internet).

Your key tasks will be to assist the team in the

diversified assignments around GE’s state-of-the-art Product Management practices.

Your core focus will be

  • Support the Product Managers in understanding the market environment, customers and defining the product offering

  • Drive central operations

  • Moderate / influence stakeholders, incl. Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, Finance, R&D and Engineering

  • Setting up strategies for implementation, developing and improving digital solutions

  • Leading sub-tasks and moderating actions in a highly international,cross-functional team

You will have the opportunity to gain a broad insight to the power business and product management of a true global player in the energy sector.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Advanced stage of studies, preferably holding a bachelor’s degree with an Engineering / Economic background

  • Extreme motivation and proactive, self-driven attitude

  • Business mindset

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

  • Strong communication skills

  • Excellent language skills in English; French would be beneficial

  • Strong MS Office proficiency (especially Excel) & IT skills

  • Analytical & Data-driven

  • Former international and practical experience through internships orsemesters abroad would be beneficial

  • Legal authorization to work in Switzerland beneficial
