The Cluster Release Engineer is responsible for the technical design, development and release of cluster components for the organization from early vehicle program stages through launch. Responsibilities include, but not limited to: Integration of technical & appearance specifications and component development timing for the cluster
Works with cross functional vehicle teams and component suppliers to develop & integrate component mechanical, hardware, optical, software requirements.
Will manage the supplier's development activity to ensure that all component functional, cost, weight and timing deliverables are met.
Responsible to ensure that all DFMEA, DVPR and functional objectives are completed and updated for the cluster.
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university.
3 - 5 years of experience with automotive electrical components/ systems or related internships.
Knowledge related to Controller Area Network (CAN) and Local Interconnect Network (LIN).
Knowledge of CAN communication & development tools (CANalyzer, CANoe) and proprietary tools
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office tools (Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Visio).
Program management skills & ability to organize assigned work projects.
Masters of Science in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) from an ABET accredited university.
DFSS Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Reactive Black Belt certification
Prior experience with component releasing processes.
Root cause analysis experience.
Knowledge of electronic module manufacturing processes.
Knowledge of electronic control module software development processes.
Will be required to drive a company car.
Valid driver’s license is required as well as a clean driving record.
Will be required to travel domestically and internationally up to 20%
