Position Description:

Our Pneumonia certified General Medicine unit will offer the opportunity to work with a variety of patients, including: Sickle Cell, Chronic Pain, CHF, COPD, Diabetes, Psych, Pneumonia and patients on heparin and insulin drips. You can also have the opportunity to advance your skill set and learn peritoneal dialysis. You will be working within a healthcare team of many Medical/Surgical certified and Geriatric certified RNs. The Clinical Supervisor provides direct patient care and supervises the nursing operations of a unit. In the absence of the Manager or Director may assume 24 hour nursing responsibility.

Position Requirements:

REQUIRED: 1. Graduate from an accredited school of nursing with one (1) year of nursing experience in area of specialty. 2. Associates Degree with three (3) years’ clinical experience OR Bachelor’s in Nursing with Two (2) years’ clinical experience. 3. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and make appropriate clinical and supervisory decisions. Must possess good problem solving skills. 4. Demonstrated leadership capabilities. 5. Certified in cardio pulmonary resuscitation (CPR). 6. Other certifications such as ACLS, PALS, NRP may be required based on department needs.
