Sandia National Laboratories Human Resources Support (Early/Mid-Career) in Albuquerque, New Mexico


We are seeking creative and highly motivated individual to join our dynamic team as an HR Support. You will provide administrative support to the Internship Program.

On any given day, you may be called on to:

  • Perform general human resources support responsibilities for Recruiting and Student Programs functions, with a focus on student intern programs.
  • From time to time, provide support for other recruiting functions such as campus recruiting, intern programming, and other scope as workloads change.
  • Perform high volume requisition processing, job offers and onboarding.
  • Administer on-roll student operations including verification of program eligibility and salary review, coordinate and process actions related to employment conversion and separation processes, and provide guidance and support as needed.
  • Assist with large scale events that directly identify, attract, and engage top talent for the labs.
  • Use our PeopleSoft Enterprise Hiring Tool and Microsoft Office Tools.
  • Utilize your extensive and effective writing and verbal communication skills with hiring managers, HR team members, external applicants and on-roll student interns.


  • High school diploma plus three years of related HR experience; or equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience.


  • Proven dedication to inclusive work environment.
  • University degree in Business, HR, Communications, Public Policy or other field where academic study has prepared you to succeed in a challenging, dynamic work environment.
  • Strong MS office skills, including Excel, Word, PPT.
  • Shown organizational skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform a high volume of detailed work with high degree of accuracy. Ability to handle confidential HR information with utmost discretion.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
  • General knowledge of business operations and professional practices.
  • Experience in human resources field.
  • Working knowledge of HR system such as PeopleSoft or similar.

Security Clearance:

Position requires a Department of Energy (DOE) L-level security clearance.

Sandia is required by DOE to conduct a pre-employment drug test and background review that includes checks of personal references, credit, law enforcement records, and employment/education verifications.
